Rules For Entries
Yes - we are just a village show but as an RHS affiliated society, with an opportunity to win an RHS medal, it is important we have a few rules to help all entrants be clear on what is expected. There's not many but please do read before submitting your entry form.
1. All individual classes are FREE to enter. (Please note there is a small charge for class entrants which provides entry to the Show in the afternoon as well as Association membership)

2. All entrants should send their entry forms, together with their names and addresses (and ages if entering children's classes), to the Secretary at least five days before the Show. This rule is so that sufficient space may be reserved for all entries and all can be exhibited to their best effect. The Committee reserves the right to refuse late entries. Entries can now also be accepted via the website.

3. The Flower Show is aimed at encouraging local gardeners to improve their domestic produce and prizes will be awarded to the entries which, in the opinion of the judges, have achieved the highest standard.

4. The Committee reserves the right to visit gardens of the major prize winners.

5. Only one exhibit will be accepted in each class from any one entrant. Each exhibit must comply with the description of its class in the Schedule; exhibits not in accordance with the Schedule may be disqualified.

6. All staging is to be completed by 10.30 a.m. on the day of the Show. The Committee urgently request all exhibitors to stage their exhibits as early as possible. The marquee is open from 8am. Judging will commence at 10.45 a.m. and no-one will be allowed in the marquee unless officially engaged or at the request of the Committee.

7. Exhibits must not be removed before 5.00 p.m.

8. The judges' decision to be final in all cases.

9 Any contingency not covered by these rules shall be dealt with by the officers of the Committee, whose decision shall be final.

10. The Committee and its officers, will not be responsible for any accident, damage or loss, however caused, which may occur to any exhibitor or person acting on his or her behalf, or to any animal, article or property brought into the show ground or while entering or leaving or being carried into or out of the said show ground.
